Mark your diary as this Thursday, the 19th of July, Adrian Quinn and Amy O’Keeffe will run another coached open water swim session at the Dock Beach in Kinsale. It is a great opportunity for even those experienced swimmers to practice last minute skills before Jailbreak tri this weekend.
The session will cover open water skills and key skills for racing, such as group starts and drafting. The session is open to all club members, with the emphasis on those still finding their inner fish.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to hone your open water swim in a supportive setting, Adrian will cover basic tips for those still getting comfortable in the water, but also provide great insight and practical advice for all.
All club members are welcome and any buddy’s/kayakers would be welcome too!
Be there, suited & ready to swim for 7:30pm.

Great turnout, Great conditions, & Great results for the TT yesterday, well done everyone.

Track is not available again this week because of an international hockey tournament in the Mardyke. As a replacement we will have a hill session on the the hill just across the river from the track. The little road is called Rose Hill Upper. The suggestion is that everyone meets at the pavilion in the Mardyke at the usual time of 7:00pm. There will be a short warm up run out to the car park half way along the Lee Fields, this will be about 2.5km, the route can be seen here. The hill is a small residential cul-de-sac; starting at the pole with the No Parking Sign up to the large gates by the old pink building will be about a 2 minute effort for the quicker runners. The suggestion is that the full session is 8 x hills. For anyone doing Jailbreak on Saturday I would suggest a maximum of 5 repeats. Suggestion is that the faster runners do their hill effort to the gates then continue about 20-30m beyond at a jog and then turn and start picking up the slower runners on the way down. For the slower runners hill is finished as you meet the people coming down. All then jog to the bottom and start the next rep all together. Catherine Redmond will lead the session. So meet at the pavilion at 7:00pm, ready to run.

The Lost Sheep needs someone with a van to transport carpet from Mullingar.
The shop is just off from the motorway, do would not be much trouble if someone was passing by.
Please contact Katie Hickson on ktbchickson@yahoo.co.uk if you can help.

We have no timekeepers for this evening.
The TT is open to TI & CI members.
Timekeeping is also open to TI & CI members.
